DENVER, N.C. — JGL Racing announced Wednesday that Dylan Lupton has joined the team’s “Young Guns” program and will pilot the No. 24 Toyota in select NASCAR XFINITY Series races this year.

Lupton’s first race with the team will be at Richmond Int’l Raceway on April 29.

He will also drive the No. 24 Toyota at Dover International Speedway on June 3; Pocono Raceway on June 10; Iowa Speedway on June 24; Watkins Glen International on Aug. 5; Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Aug. 12 and Road America on Aug. 27.

“I am very grateful for this opportunity and excited to start this venture with JGL Racing,” said Lupton.  “I feel strongly that this is the right home for me and gives me the best chance to succeed.  I cannot wait for Richmond and look forward to growing this program with the No. 24 team.”

Lupton has made 10 career NASCAR XFINITY Series starts, as well as four starts in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. His career-best XFINITY finish of ninth came at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in 2015.

“We are excited to add Dylan to our Young Guns program and he is someone that we have watched for the last few years and felt he was a perfect fit,” added team owner James Whitener. “His schedule will have a good mix of races which will allow him to showcase his talents in the No. 24 Toyota.”

Lupton joins Scott Lagasse Jr., Corey LaJoie, Drew Herring and Jeb Burton as drivers of the No. 24 Toyota this season.
